Petroleum Equipment Company conducts hundreds of site investigations of underground storage tank (UST) and industrial facilities every year. We provide service to individuals, businesses, and lending institutions with professionally licensed geologists in Tennessee, Kentucky, & Indiana.
Safety & Training
Safety is a fundamental part of the petroleum and solid waste industry. We care how our operations affect our employees, subcontractors, and customers. Accordingly, our environmental staff is OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certified with regular additional safety training and updates.
Keeping abreast of industry needs and changes in the regulatory community is another vital component. We are ready to answer your environmental questions and strive to stay informed. Accordingly, our environmental staff attends industry conferences & conventions as well as routine industry training.
UST System Closures
Petroleum Equipment Company is a Corrective Action Contractor (CAC) able to perform UST system closures and reimbursable environmental services.
We can provide all inclusive services including filing appropriate paperwork with regulatory agencies, UST system removal or closure in-place, air, soil and groundwater sampling, Corrective Action Plan (CAP) development, and compliance reporting.

Site Investigation & Remediation
Petroleum Equipment Company performs investigations on the characterization, natural attenuation, and active remediation of petroleum impacted soil and groundwater.
We can provide environmental services including emergency response oversight, drilling, soil and groundwater sampling, soil gas surveys, well abandonment, Trust Fund eligibility & reimbursement, and compliance reporting.
Additional Services
Petroleum Equipment Company performs compliance inspections to prepare your facility for regulatory scrutiny. We can recommend needed service and training to help keep your facility in compliance. We offer monthly inspections of spill & overfill devices, quarterly inspections of dispensers and oil-water separators, removal of wastewater from spill buckets, dispenser pans, pump sumps, & tank bottoms.
We use the ASTM Standard Practice E-1527-05 as our approach for conducting Phase I assessments for property transactions. We make every effort to meet the needs of the property transfer and lending institution with a realistic approach to due diligence and all appropriate inquiry.
